Bayleaf – Byron Bay

June 7, 2012

One of my favourite things about Australia was how serious they take their coffee. I mean I don’t think I had a bad cup of coffee the whole time I was there… I think I have told you this already… but Bayleaf is a great example of an Ozzie coffee shop.

It really seemed like it was the place to be and even though it is teeny it was always packed.

They used coffee ground a couple of streets away.

I love the communal space and the food looked amazing, go pay them a visit if you’re in town and get an iced coffee – it has ICE CREAM in it!

Coffee and Doughnuts…

July 12, 2010

So a little post with a coffee recommendation… last week at lunch a work colleague from my previous job met for our regular Friday treat fun and went to a little spot in the sun by the river (a bit of a theme with me right now!)…

The reason we chose this little treat spot… they bake fresh doughnuts… and churros!

The coffee was sooooo good as well, smooth and much tastier than some nameless chains…

and I adore their tables… I think they would look very nice in my garden…

The views are quite lovely as well…

we even saw swans… they didn’t bother us though, we were too high up…

The doughnuts were gooooooooooooooooood, proper fairground style, with tons of cinnamon

To find this little spot head to the Welsh Back, it’s in between the Glass Boat and Spyglass.
